Kente Weavers

Kente is the traditional cloth of the Ashanti and other people of West Africa. It is woven in narrow strips in a variety of designs each with symbolic meaning. At this site you can see the cloth being woven, and can purchase placemats, tablecloths and table runners all made of Kente cloth. Very worthwhile and interesting!  Bob Dennis's workshop specializes in Ewe kente. See also Ashanti Region - Kumasi surrounds
