Mobile Internet

Access to the Internet is available from every cellular telephone service provider, both to your phone and to your computer. In addition, iBurst and Mobile2i offer mobile Internet access, with unique service and devices.

Getting mobile web access to your computer can easily be done through a dongle device, which is purchased from a mobile service provider. These are USB modems with a SIM card inside through which you can access the Internet. These are popular because they offer greater flexibility than fixed line connections and can be used on the go. Usage is purchased as a bundle of data, or as credit from a scratch card, and applied in much the same way as to your pre-paid mobile phone. Just a word of caution on these, the strength of the signal depends on where you live relative to the signal source.

A newer option is a small affordable wireless device that uses the same technology as the dongle, but does not need to be connected to the computer during use. It emits a wireless signal, allowing several devices to access the Internet at the same time.
