Landline

In 2010 all landline phone numbers were changed to meet the international 10 digit standard of three number area code plus a seven digit number. The Accra land line (021) plus 6 digits was changed to 030 2 plus the six digits. It will likely take some time for the new numbers to be replaced on business cards, sign boards and advertising. Just remember that (021) has become 0302. New land line numbers for other areas of the country are listed below.

International Dialling - Phone number format

From Ghana, use 00 to dial an international number.

When calling Ghana from overseas, you drop the leading '0', so a mobile number like 024 222 3344, would be (country code +233) 24 222 3344. A landline number in Accra like 030 255 6677, would be (country code 233) 30 255 6677.
